NEW YORK automne 2013

The streets are quite crowded and the shops too. I loved the view of Manhattan from the top of Empire State Building at sunset, the cruise on Hudson Bay, around the statue of Liberty and Ellis island and the Freedom tower rising above the others buildings. I remember well when we walks across Brooklyn Bridge over East River and when we had a walk in the green heaven of central park.In NYC there are a lot of very important museums: the museum of modern art also named the MOMA, the metropolitan museum of art and the Guggenheim museum, we visited the first two ones. After the buildings of Manhattan, it was time to go to a forest in “the bear mountains” North of the Bronx and to drive in the meadows of the Amish people in Pennsylvania. At the time of the year, the Indian summer covers the trees, Oaks, maples, with gold or yellow and reds colours ; it’s mervellous.Unfortunately we could not visit some Nationals Parks and Museums because of a Federal Government shutdown, , in particular Liberty Statue, Immigration Museum at Ellis island, and Roosevelt house in Sagamore Hill.
